Weekly Round Up 11/07/2020

Hooray of the Week

This week my hooray is The New Grazing Sheep reopening Last Saturday . We didn't go Saturday as we already had plans but Sunday morning we were all over it. I can see the cafe from the balcony and for 4 long months they have been closed. For those of you who don't know, The New Grazing Sheep is the BEST cafe I've ever been to. Their food is absolutely incredible. I don't want to big it up too much in case everyone rushes to try it and I can't get a seat!

Staying Active

This week I had a complete meltdown because it rained Wednesday morning. Wednesday's should be bike to work day, but nope, it rained. I don't know why and I'm not proud of this but my Lord I turned into a right cow! I was a right grump which resulted in quite a large argument and a few hours of not talking to Matt. I'm a creature of habit and now I've incorporated biking into my fitness plan I feel like there is no room for change. I am wrong, of course, and everything was fine, I didn't gain a stone, the world didn't end. I just adjusted my evening workout to include a little more cardio. Job done. Sorry Matt

So we were meant to be going to Tunisia in September, I was doubtful that it would still go ahead but Matt was staying optimistic. Well Friday evening we got an email to say it had indeed been cancelled. Tui had two options, take a refund of the full amount plus 10% or reschedule and get an additional £500 towards the holiday. We now have a week in Egypt to look forward to in June with a nice room upgrade!

Recipe of the week

This week I have to give a shout out to Matt for making incredible Peri Peri Halloumi Burgers from the Mob Veggie cookbook. I'm a bit of a control freak (read above ) and get a little protective over cooking and meal prep. This isn't helpful as I then end up cooking every meal. Matt is more than capable of cooking so I'm trying to be more relaxed and allow him to help and cook more. I get that for some of you reading this it may seem odd that I'm controlling in this way but it's my things and I'm working on it and I'm here to be honest!

Book recommendation

If you're a reader, I strongly urge you to read This is Going to Hurt by Adam Kay. It's incredibly honest, funny and sad. I think Matt is getting fed up of me laughing and interrupting his reading to say 'someone had a remote stuck up their bum' or 'oh my God she has two vaginas'

I hope, despite the weather, you all had a lovely week.
