For a long time now I have been fascinated by the effects food has on the body, if only I had had known about this fascination at 16 when I left school. However I did not know this and I am now a trained accountant working for a local procurement company. My ambition is to study nutrition and one day I will, for now I take in as much knowledge as I can reading studies and following great nutritionists that specialise in sports nutrition and female hormonal health.
Ever since coming off the pill 2 years ago I have had issues with my cycle, they are long and irregular. The pain that comes with my periods is crippling. It's been an ongoing battle and recently I made the decision to really look into my diet and take out those processed nasties. My diet wasn't terrible but the daily coffee with milk and sugar went, the milky sugary evening hot chocolates have gone, the white processed carbs have gone, prepackaged meals, gone! These changes are all relatively recent and I don't know what effects, if any, this will have on my cycle but I'm staying optimistic.
